Day of Life #20

Sorry for the late update today- The Dr's did not start rounds until later this morning. Unfortunately we really don't have much of an update. The only thing that has changed since yesterday is that they are going to put her on a drip of breast milk. So that means she literally get continuous 'drops' all day of breast milk. All together, each hour it still only equates 2 cc's of milk which is less than a teaspoon. They will see how she tolerates this.

A kidney doctor stopped by and spoke with us briefly- she mentioned that it could take 6-8 weeks to assess if her kidney's have fully recovered. The thought of her being here another 8 weeks makes us want to vomit. I hope that somehow that woman was misinformed or i misunderstood because that is not exactly what we were wanting to hear. She also mentioned that Madeline could potentially go home and do dialysis from home if need be, if everything else is better with her. Again that would mean she would need 24/7 care at home- and neither of us can afford not to work after my maternity leave is up. I don't know what we are going to do ..Trying not to think too much about it right now. We are just praying all goes well.

Tomorrow we plan on demanding some real answers/time frames from the doctor's . We would like a best/worst case scenario situation.

I think we need to do some hard praying today for some strength and encouragement - God please work this out and take care of Madeline and our family!!

Thank you all for the continued love and prayers!
