Late getting the update in today, network has been down all day at Cleveland Clinic so we are at RMH. MRI came back normal yesterday, the doctors said Neurology wants to talk with us still to go over some things. Maddie's BP was very high throughout the night and they are changing her medicine to something else. Her blood numbers are climbing higher too, so the Nephrologists are monitoring that very carefully, they say that the high numbers and BP are a sign that the kidneys are starting to regain better function, but so far there is no way to tell how well they will recover.
PS -New Pics- Top left is from this morning - the other two are from yesterday :)

She as been taking her food okay, she's not a big fan of the bottle anymore, but at least she's digesting what she gets, they are upping the amount of food she is getting today, so we are making progress in that area.
All around, things are looking good, we'll continue waiting to see what happens. Thanks everyone.
Truly a wonderful feeling to see more of Madeline!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lord for the MRI results!!
No bottle Madeline? No worries, just keep on eating Sweetie! Even soggy nappies sounds wonderful to us right now!
Suddenly the future looks so much brighter!
We are thankful Rachael and Ron for sharing with us the good and the bad days!
Take care,
Will they let you nurse yet? It is a wonderful experience if it works for both mom and baby! I think it would be therapeutic for both of you! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteAnother trick is to massage her cheek or also to drip just a couple drops in her mouth to get her to realize the good stuff is ready for her!
ReplyDeleteShe is soooo precious, I just want to kiss her and snuggle her cheeks! Isn't it the best to feel her breath against your neck when she sleeps! I am so happy you were able to do kangaroo care with her! It is one of favorite, "happy-places" I reflect on when the going gets tough. I'm so glad you got to experience it...enjoy many more of those moments in the near future!
