Day Of Life #24- Update

We had to leave the Nicu for a little while because there were internet connection problems and Ron needed to connect for work. So we came over to the Ronald mcdonald house for a while. just spoke to the nurse and she told us that they were not able to get the art line in so they have a line in her hand to give her the meds for her blood pressure. After doing this procedure, they checked her aspirate and it turns out she had sixteen cc still left in her stomach. so they held her noon feed and will try again at three. Because of this set back they will not increase her feeds for now. They will continue giving her fifteen cc's every three hours and for now they will put it through her ng tube instead of a bottle. They also want us to hold off on picking her up/holding her etc for now until she is more settled/back to normal. Disappointing but hopefully by her next feed she will be doing better and maybe by end of evening they can increase the amount she's getting and can go back to bottle.. we will see.
