Day of Life #9

Day 9, mom and dad physically and emotionally exhausted. Maddie has not improved yet. She still has bleeding from her intestines, her liver, and the adrenal glands. There is blood in her urine, some in her mouth. There is also fluid mixed with blood and urine coming out of the drain that was installed. She is still receiving plasma, and her kidneys aren't functioning correctly. They are just waiting for her to repair herself now. Her respiratory system seems good, and there is less blood in her mouth than there was before.

They say there have been some improvements, but we only see our daughter getting more puffy and red. God we know you will take care of us and our daughter even though we are undeserving. It is in Your hands.

  1. You are on the minds and hearts of many people that I work with and family and friends from FL to OH! There is not a department that I can pass through at the hospital that does not ask for daily updates and is praying for your family daily if not more frequently! The love that surrounds you is immense. I hope you can find peace in knowing that when you close your eyes for a moment to rest, someone else is covering your family in prayers!

  2. You don't know me, but I am keeping you both and your baby girl in my prayers. Take heart. God is your comforter and your strength. Regardless of what the outcome of all this is, he will sustain you both. He is good and he knows your pain and he cares deeply for Madeline. Praying for rest and peace and a covering of encouragement for all of you.
