Day of life #30

Sorry again for late post! Couldn't get the net to work this morning at the hospital. Just now getting things to work!

Today is a pretty low key/stable day. Madeline is getting some more sodium in her iv fluids as her sodium levels have been pretty low.

They are going to lower her blood pressure meds a tiny bit, they gave her an ultrasound on her back because she had a dimple and sometimes that means she has space in her spinal cord. Looks like everything was clear though- Yay!

Her biggest hold backs continue to be her chemical levels (BUN and Creatinine) and her feedings. Her Creatinine went up from 4.2 to 4.3 today :( - the Dr's say it's nothing to worry about though.

We are still working on feedings- although she has been tolerating it each time they have increased her feeds the fact of the matter is she needs to take her feeds (meaning from breast or bottle). So far today she took between 8/10 cc's at her 12 pm and 3 pm feed. The progress is slow here! Pray she would start getting the hang of taking her feeds and that we would not have to put them through the NG tube anymore. The sooner she can do that the sooner she can come home.

Other updates:

Please please please pray for Everett. Ran into his dad yesterday and he said that he is not doing well at all and that Dr' s are not sure how to help him. If you remember Everett had the Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Please pray he pulls through and that the Dr's would know how to help him!

Adalee- Her gut is still functioning a little slow but they are increasing her feeds. Most recently we heard that baby and mom would be able to try breastfeeding- Awesome! Keep up the prayers for this family!

Thanks all for continued love and prayers- praise God.
