Day of life #52

Good afternoon all!

Today has been a pretty good day for Madeline. Although Madeline did not meet her quota of milk volume last night and lost 5 g- they allowed her to keep out her NG tube for another day and see how things go. She has a couple feeds where she hasn't taken her full feed but overall has done well. She is pretty fussy so they are going to try mylecon and see if her gas resolves. Still looking at next week for coming home -yay so we are just talking discharge planning, planning home nurse needs, etc -Still working on getting her blood pressure medicine down to 3 times a day- the other one will still be 2 times a day so we will have to keep those in order! We will keep following up with numerous doctors, nephrologist, physical therapist, pcp for a while....


We are asking for super extra prayers for Everett and his family today -This is what's going on in mom's words : "Everett still needs prayers. His right lung partially collapsed over night and is back on CPAP. They are "clapping" him to try to reopen it. The attending is still optimistic that he will not need reintubated, so that is a positive. There is another x-ray scheduled for noon, I will update after the results."

We have seen mom and dad since then and they have told us his X Ray still looks the same.. Please pray for healing- Also pray for mom and dad need as they need to move from their current home pretty quickly since they live in a place where smoking in units is permitted- However this will not do at all given the state Everett is in- He cannot be anywhere near smoke because of his condition. We and others are working on linking them to some new places but the need is beyond that. We are working on getting a donation page set up, much like the one our friend set up for us to assist mom and dad with moving costs. They really need money for a deposit and first month's rent so that they can move ASAP. We will be posting that link as soon as it is set up- I know many of you have already helped already in so many ways but if you could find a way to give a little- even 5 or 10 dollars that would help so much- If you can't help but know someone who may be able to please pass the link along. I will get that up as soon as it is available. Just say some extra prayers for these folks for God to heal Everett and provide housing and ability to finance a move. Thank you all so very much.
