THAT <--- our friends - is what a baby looks like after not sleeping at all the night before :) . Ms Madeline decided she was not going to sleep in the transition room last night- and if she wasn't sleeping neither was mom and dad.... Poor Maddie spent most of her night crying :( .
We are still set to leave for tomorrow- Trying to get the final details worked out- one of her biggest hurdles being a medication schedule- She is taking about 6-8 different meds, vitamins, doses of oil with her food -etc daily. The nurses are nice enough to try to set up a schedule with us- So far it looks like we will be giving her anywhere from 2-3 meds at 6am, 7am, 2pm,3pm,6pm, 10pm and 11pm. We also have to work that in with her feeds etc- We are glad to get a system in place now but it is overwhelming trying to figure out her meds, feeding, pumping, getting ready for work, drop off/pick up from daycare, making dinner-caring for house etc.. We knew it wouldn't be easy having a child- but this is a whole new world. Right now things feel extremely stressful but hopefully we will work out a system in the next few weeks.
Everett Update - Per mom : " feel like everett is having his one step back day. his cannula is back up to 8 liters and o2 is at 30. they jave mentioned putting him back on cpap "for comfort." they waned to take out his central line, but now they are going to move it, probably to a safinous pic. please pray he gets over this hump quickly and smoothly."
Please keep up the prayers- As we know you all do-
Thanks for everything!!
Oh dear Madeline! You look positively exhausted so we wonder how Mum and Dad look after such a night!
ReplyDeleteWe continue to pray for all!
God bless,
