Well we are back at Rainbow- Time for another Update!
This weekend Mom had a half Marathon in Akron she had been training for (Sept 29th) and we were getting ready to leave Friday when the babysitter told us Madeline had a fever- We thought it was a cold as she was not puking like she normally does with infection and in general was happy just a little congested. We decided to go to the race and keep an eye on her.. After we picked her up from daycare she seemed fine.. was running around playing etc *she's walking a bunch now!* --- Her fever went away..
Saturday morning was the race- Dad and Baby came at the end to cheer mom and her running partner Amanda on- what a great experience (her first one!) -Mom finished the half in 2hrs 1 min and 8seconds- But Madeline was looking pretty pale and began her puking spells--a lot of puking that day- So we left straight from the marathon to the hospitals- Now it is more of the same- Blood Draws.. urine catheter- waiting for Cultures to come back -treating her with antibiotics to make sure if she does have an infection it will be caught- everyone is in agreement it is probably just a cold but we will see- Hopefully this will be a short stay
and she will get out tomorrow..
The Doctor scolded us for not bringing her in immediately on Friday when she got the fever.. she says that if she had an infection she could have gotten really bad within hrs and we should have brought her in immediately.. Now Mom is feeling pretty darn guilty..
Anyways- Other than this snafu - it seems like things are going pretty steady-- doing feeds 4x a day instead of 24hrs and 10 overnight.. it seems to be going ok- -puking is not as bad
still working with speech and hopefully soon with occupational therapist- speech therapist says that her feeding is not going to get better until she stops puking and wants to know what the doctors say about puking --the doctors say her puking is getting better and don't seem to be worried about it-- We don't know what to think..all we know is she still gags and pukes when you try to feed her anything.. she did eat a half of a graham cracker the other day which was good- but when we tried later that day she just threw it on the ground- =-the speech therapist said kids are savy to that kind of thing and that a lot of kids will know their limits- for example- -they might know that on the 4th bite of a food they will puke so they will only ever eat 3 bites at a time.. until they stop puking all together..seeing as there seems to be know rhyme reason or pattern to her puking it's really frustrating.. blah -- it's overwhelming- we just have to be patient and keep trying..
we continue to see signs of God's love and blessings in our life- he is providing for our little family- our beautiful daughter- thank you all for the love support and prayers.
God Bless

Congratulations to Mum and love the pictures!
